Birthday girl
« on: May 20, 2018, 18:46:09 »
My daughter will be 9 years old in two weeks. I shot a small "birthday photo session" with her outside.

The lenses used were AI 55mm f/1.2, AF-S 35mm f/1.4G and AF-S 200mm f/2G VR II and the bodies were D2x and D3x. The clock battery of D2x expired and the date reset itself to 1/1/2006.

Beautiful images, Peter.  Happy birthday to her!

You can replace the clock battery of D2X easily.  The procedure is described on p.251 in the manual:

Thank you very much.

I couldn't find a CR1616 battery locally and bought a CR1620 instead (same 16 mm diameter, but 2.0 mm thick instead of the original 1.6 mm. Turns out it fits just fine, the recess in the camera is deep enough for at least 3 millimeter thick batteries since there is a spring in the bottom. Thanks.

You are welcome.  I had used D2H, and my faint memory told me that the battery should have been replaceable by the user.  :)
