[Theme] Transmitted light
« on: May 13, 2018, 20:57:10 »
When we take pictures, we normally capture reflected lights, UV or VIS or IR.  But sometimes we are interested in other kinds of light.  For example, the transmitted light makes the autumn leaves or the petals of flowers "glow" beautufully.  And sometimes you can make unexpected objects glow.  :)

A theme open to many interpretations.

This one should by definition fit, as it is comprised of purely transmitted light.

Akira, don't know how you managed #3 but it is spellbinding

Have posted this previously but it is the only one Mongo has in this category.
Opps - found another one of a ballon also

Birna, your image is always worth investigating.  Is that a embossed window pane?

Mongo, the first image is familiar to me.  I don't remember the second one, but it is as pleasant as the first one.

The image (I titled it "Orange Alert") was lit by my original lighting device from behind.  I made it using four high-brightness white LEDs.

Amazing patterns in the ice, Asle, great shots.

Birna, the close-up of the ice is wonderful, love the colours and patterns.

Jakov just jump into the fray. No need for transmitted light to be in sharp focus :D

Thank you guys for expanding the thread!

As expected, you are offering your wonderful interpretations that are unexpected to me!

The frosted glasses by Asle and Birna are awesome and amazing.  And Jack's Persian-glass-like pattern is interesting.
