Two new lenses
« on: April 20, 2018, 09:59:03 »
The first new lens is my AI 55mm f/1.2. The image posted is sooc I didn't do any contrast, clarity, dehaze or sharpening to it. The typical flaring glow and velvety softness is clearly visible at longer shooting distances. This is the reason I wanted this lens.

The other new lens is my daughter's AF-S VR 18-105mm that she enjoys immensely. Her biggest grievance with the 18-55 kit lens was that it didn't allow her to "screw things big"  ;D ::) :P Now she's happy with more screwability. She's still using her D40 she got 6 years ago when she was only 3 years old. Tough little camera.

Great Peter.

So you also have one of the last version of the  55/1.2?

Yes, I agree. It can show some nervous double-lines too when the bg is very busy, but so far I like the lens a lot.
