After some thought, I must admit I like your first picture, nice colours and a very fine composition.

fascinating insight into concept, colour and form. As has already been pointed out, sharpness is an optional factor altogether.

Mongo agrees with Armando that your concept could form the basis of a commercially desirable  product for right organisation/person. It certainly has the potential to "identify" with its user.

Had a 180mm AI-s - sold it. It was a great lens. Have had the 180mm AF (“new”) version for years. This is supposed to be the better of the AF versions but still having to compete hard against the qualities of the AI-s version. Have not used it for many years. It is slow and noisy but when it hits focus, it does do the job really well. You may have inspired Mongo to take it out and use it with the D4s and with and without the PN-11 ring.

Great to see your vibrant and interesting images.

Dear Bent, thank you so much for kind words!

Dear Mongo, your comment means a lot to me, thank you!
The 180 AIS is probably too old to compete with the lenses nowadays. However, it withstands time in a sense that it is still a very capable lens if you know what you are doing and if you know what you would like to achieve. As you said, just like the AF version, if you hit focus, the results are special. Luckily, that was not what I was trying to achieve :)

If two great photographers (Armando and Mongo) believe that it could be a commercially successful concept I am even more happy with the results.

As promised, I went for the 85/1.5 Zenit attached tot he PN-11 just to see how it turns out.
I decided to post these images here although there is a dedicated Zenit thread somewhere. I wanted to compare the two unconventional setups and photography.

Thank you Paco so much! I need to get a number 13 in there somehow :)

This one is dedicated to Bez, who had a brilliant idea to include the houses in the background.
This time around without the extension ring, just the 85/1.5 Zenit.

Very nice Jakov.
I think I enjoy the Zenit examples even more. Probably because you have mixed something sharp(ish) with the blur.

In the last one, the houses really work for me. But in my opinion, the red and green could be toned down a bit.

Hi Kjetil, yes, I sometimes pump up the colors more than normal.
Thanks!

John, I really like that you really like that one :)
Thanks!

Nice Zenit images, Jakov!  The second one is a happy marriage of Bez' idea and your execution.
