Hello from Canada

Hello everyone!

It is a pleasure to find a corner of cyberspace where the love of photography reigns supreme.

A bit about me. I was born and raised in the northwest of England. A few holidays in Canada led to me moving here. I now live near Toronto.

My interest in photography began in earnest in 2007 with an F100. Black and white soon became my focus because I could do my own developing and printing. I still remember the feeling when I saw my first print appear in the developing tray.

In 2013 I turned to the dark side (digital) and have been enjoying the process.

This photograph was quite amazing for me. It was taken inside Manchester City Hall (in England). ISO 3200, 20mm, f/5.6 and 1/125s. The highlights were knocked back in Lightroom and the overall exposure was raised two stops. Impressive stuff to one who used to think that ISO 400 was fast  :)
