I think LTM is nice after getting a Nikon Z body.....
Easy to adapt.....and now I by accident won one of these lenses on ebay (chrome version).....and must admit the one with black aperture ring looks better.
I learned that a 6-element lens can be a Sonnar type......and not the usual Gauss type in the 50/2 H-C for SLR.
Some like the bokeh of Sonnars over Gauss types but I don't know if this is a general accepted statement.....

LTM lenses are all right, but being more rare tend to command higher asking prices .... most Nikon RF lenses can easily be mounted via a RF(S)-Z adapter.

As to the "normals" in LTM livery they are more adaptible than their RF(S) counterparts as the latter are devoid focusing helicoids.

Rangefinder lenses in general are very compact on a Nikon-Z body. They look good on a Z-body. The Z-body itself has a classic look.
The Nikkor 5cm f2 rangefinder lens seems to be one of the most "price friendly" even in LTM it seems.
The 3.5cm/1.8 is a bit more pricy......and also the 5cm/1.1....

I have a fairly comprehensive line of the RF Nikkors ... too many lenses in the cupboards already ... will nevertheless pick up your hint, Rick. The tiny Z50 looks great with a classic RF Nikkor on it.

The 50/1.1 in LTM will look impressive on a Z50 :-)

don't know how many people here are interested in LTM lenses  :o :o :o

More than you would imagine ! ;D

The fever for these tiny lenses started with Sony mirrorless cameras. With Z system, the fever becomes epidemic.

Japan is a gold mine of these LTM lenses which are very common there, (mostly Canon 50mm f/1.8, Nikon rangefinder are rarer and even more expensive than L39 Leitz/leica.

Even tired, hazed and full of fungus, these lenses are proposed on the second hand market, and they sell ! :o

I've got this fever... ::)

I as well own several  Japanes LTM lenses, so I like your input very much
my 50mm Nikon is the 1.4  LTM sonnar, the 2.0 is on my list, but I have so many 50mm lenses that there is no hurry
another very fine Japanese 50mm lens is the 1.8 Chiyoda Kogaku  Super Rokkor

It was by search I found Richards article which is from 2018......and at that time with no Z-cameras?.....the interest seems not very high......but this has changed....

Which rubber cup tool did you use to unscrew/fasten the name ring on this lens?
I have one where the front lens element is loose and I guess it is the name ring that hold the front element in place with just pressure?
I have several rubber cups but none that just fits.....also have rubber conical "rings".....but none has the right diameter....
