Note of appreciation
« on: September 23, 2017, 16:32:10 »
Hello,

I have been kickin around this site for a couple of years and have learned much and been inspired frequently! I appreciate the passion of those that run this site (a labor of love!) and those that contribute!

To further the cause I just became an NG Supporter!

I work in Managment consulting in Washington DC and have an 11 year old daughter. Photography is a passion although mostly on family outings, travel, and holiday. I am grateful to have the means to have a Nikon Df as my primary camera and enjoy the 58 1.4. I have a few MF lenses but don't use them enough.

I'll post more images here going forward!

Cheers,
Rob.

I really recommend putting those manual focus Nikkors to use. They can really surprise you by their rendering. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst.

Yes, I have a 105 I like. A 55 3.5 macro is okay.

I often shoot wide open with AF lenses, I think I need to step it down some so critical focus is not too thin.

I do like the MF lenses making the Df more nimble!

Rob, the forum lives through the positive attitudes of people like you who post and comment, research and correct and share their findings. It is all about you and me and everyone else here. Friendly attitude keeps away most malevolent people that can make life in other forums so painful
You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.
