Waiting for winter
« on: October 21, 2017, 21:02:36 »
Not long now before we can expect to see snow on the high tops and I'm not being disrespectful to the other seasons when I say that winter is my favourite time of the year. I manage my impatience by looking at and working on some of my existing winter material.

The image dates from the years 2000-2003, when I lived in Glencoe, and the mountain is Bidean nam Bian, the highest in the Glencoe area. shot on med-format film, scanned earlier today and given lots of tlc/pp.

Good moment.  The beautiful light seems fleeting and the patches of blue sky are an added asset.

Love the majestic feel of the mountain!

Beautiful image.  For me it brings back memories of winter visits to Glencoe many years ago.

Thank you Keith, Akira and 10Be - this is one of those rare images - in my archive - which actually looks better as a print than on a monitor, so I'm relieved that you like the screen appearance well enough.
