Although fuzzy, they are leaves allright!

Thuja or Juniper apparently, the IR rendering is artistical but somehow misleading for us visible-light humans and self-taught botanists... Anyway, I like it !

It's been a good year for vegetation, including the nasty stuff.  For those not familiar with North American plants, this is the juiciest crop of poison ivy ever.  I think my camera started itching.

The west-of-the-Rockies version ("Poison Oak") is plentiful this year, due to good winter rains.  This plants in this location have acquired an infection or parasite, common here when there has been a boom in the growth cycle.
