D500, late to the party
« on: September 10, 2017, 00:27:09 »
Hello. It has been a while but I jut got mine. Refurbished from BH with a 3rd party grip, extra battery -included, don´t know why- and lexar 400mb/s card. I was reluctant because of the already great low-light performance of the d750...I shouldn't. Not only is very good in that regard but, as you already know, it is very very very fast, responsive and accurate. Coupled with the 70-200e fl is a dream machine for performances.
I had a very good time. Opening the files, I was impress at how many were spot on.

   Some general impression here

Live performance in "Repertorio Español" a small theater in New York City. Mostly 1600 iso with room for editing later.
I had the chance of catching more movement than ever before. Hair, dress, that huge shawl always so elusive was perfectly caught. Here a sample.

On a side note, someone comment in another thread about the size of my images and I have up sized from 1000pix in the long side to 1600pix, I think it looks much better so, thanks for the pointer!

Nice start, Paco!  Your reflex nerve and sense of rhythm seem to be further enhanced by the responsiveness of D500.

You did ask. You did listen. Now you see promises were made and promises were kept. I see that your always great eye now has a better extension and you get many more keepers. My D500 stands at 52.000 clicks after one and a half years and I scored many shots that were out of reach without her.
You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.

Thank you Akira, Bill, Armando, Fons, Frank.

Responsiveness of the camera is really excellent, Thank you all for your advise too.

I´m going to have to agree that asking, in order to listen after, maybe  is a natural disposition not as common nowdays.
