My life, the happy solitude wanderer
« on: July 20, 2017, 13:29:04 »
The fate of my life, no kids no wife no fancy car no lawnmoving -- solitude, sometimes more loneliness.

Above alle the wandering in the high mountains, the 10 hour nice walks alone, just being happy and alone with the elements and the botany :-)

An example:

The photo is Artemisia norvegica, alpine sagewort. Not many will se this extremely rare mountain flower in their lives. This species is found only in central Norway, at the summits
above 1000 m asl.  elsewhere only in Scottish Highlands. Over in Alaska and Canada and the Rockies, where its important food for deer and goats.

For the last twenty years, I have never found this Artemisa at lower levels, only by the pinnacle of the mountain I have just climbed.

This picture was taken yesterday at 1900, it was low sun. With my 24-120. So sorry, I was too tired to dig out the 105 micro buried in my bacpack.
This plant is a massive 15 cm high, usually it  is only 7-10 cm high.

You have skillfully managed the shallow depth of field, but I'd like to see the overexposed areas not be so...overexposed.
