Colors of the Adriatic!
  The depth of the boats image really works.
  Intimate images are a treat and a special window into some intimate moments. Very generous and a shared delicacy. Thanks!

Smusesuse, I am glad you like the big bell :)
Thank you, Chris! I guess I should continue shooting IR :)
Paco, thank you for your words.
Thank you, Fons!
Anirban, the IR boat caught my attention once I inverted the image, thanks!

Today/yesterday I decided to shoot my favorite body and lens, D750 and 85mm f/1.4 AF-D.
It is an extremely versatile combination. I don't know why but the 85/1.4 feels like a normal lens to me. My eyes seem to see everything in 85mm.
Of course, it is at its best as a portrait lens, but I improvised a bit shooting it into the sun wide open. It can also be used as a city/landscape lens or a product/food lens too :) It basically does everything I want it to, just like the D750.
If only I could focus closer with this lens...
Since I have been extensibley using the 85/1.4 over the years, and in Cres, I found it quite a challenge to shoot something different but also to capture images that I used to in the past. No limits, whatsoever :)

1. The olive tree into the sun;
2. The fig tree into the sun;
3. Lunch, šopska salata;
4. Sunset hairdo;
5. Please synchronize your jump;
6. Cres after sunset;
7. What a lovely day.

Thank you all once again!

Bjørn, thanks! You know that I always listen to you :)
So, today I decided to use D750 and 135DC. Similar to 2 days ago when I wanted to unsuccessfully compare the 10.5 and 20 on DX and FX. This time comparing the 85 and 135. Well, they have one thing in common, they do portraits. The creamy bokeh and the 3D rendition of faces is why I adore both of these gems.
As soon as I started shooting the 135DC I got into the blurry mood :D

1. Portrait of my son Luka (before the blurry show begins);
2. Always challenging white petals (Bjørn please help with the species);
3. Purple/pink/magenta petals are no joke either;
4. More of the same;
5. I won't be making similar images with a wide angle any longer, and no, I didn't flip the image 180º;
6. The Adriatic ripples;
7. The big bell.

Probably AW1 tomorrow...

Thanks!

That's a marvelous shot. So are the others. This thread keeps getting better and better. :)

Wonderful holiday. Beautiful kids. Colorful photos.
You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.

Thank you, Anirban, Frank, Akira, and John! Your comments mean a lot to me.

Yesterday, I was photographing under water.
Loads of fun accompanied with loads of deep breaths.
All in all, loads of fun!

1. Stepping on fish;
2. How do you evaluate the holidays thus far.

Until next time :)

First, beautiful kids. They spread smiles. Congrats  :)
  The playful nature of your shots is contagious. The mix of subjects and techniques makes it even more enjoyable.
   Ripples of the Adriatic resonates with me
    "Stepping on fish" is unlike you for the lack of contrast -for you- and the empty space in the left of the frame. Puzzles me and I can´t stop looking at the stepping feet nonetheless.

    I did a blurry shot yesterday  ;D

   Thanks for sharing Jakov!

Dear Paco, thank you so much for your thoughts. I will convey your message to my kids.
When i was processing the underwater shots i did try to increase the contrast but then i would have lost the authenticity of the underwater atmosphere or should i say hydrospehere 🙄
Of course the sea waters have a lot less visibility than fresh waters and are much more challenging for photography. I cropped the image like is and found it just to my liking.
Ripples, ripples, ripples 🤗

I love the AW1 and of all the new possible gear, AW2 and a dedicated underwater fish-eye I WOULD BUY without a blink of an eye.

1. Swimmer passing by;
2. Low contrast school;
3. I love Cres when there is a storm!
4. My daughter's new acquisition. No other purchase that I have ever made has made me laugh as much and that includes a two DVD set of Richard Pryor's standup :D

Thanks, Jakov
