Staycation
« on: July 15, 2017, 20:03:25 »
The weather has been horrible here all summer so far and we had no foreign travel plans, so my few new images have all been close to home, mostly on a couple of dry days.

#1 and #2  Inside, looking out; typical weather.
#3  Loch Tay on a dry day.
#4  Clearfell returns to Killin.
#5 and #6  The River Dochart
#7,8,9  In our garden
#10  Haymaking on a rare sunny evening

I agree it is a sad state of affairs.
I have been depressed by it since returning from our sunny vacation to Sardinia - THAT was the life...

The fourth could also be called "end of a dream"

Apparently the weather is horrible in many parts of the world now.  :(

Nevertheless, your images look pleasant.  I love the image of yellow poppies, although it is regarded as invasive species here.

The lack of time outside seems to benefit your creativity, very nice series !

As they say in French, "le malheur des uns fait le bonheur des autres" (some people's misfortunes are other people's luck). To me that's what vacation is all about - e.g. my stay with Madame in Edinburgh and surroundings. The unmistakable colour of the peaty water... come to think of it... where did I store that bottle of "little water"...

Thank you all for posting, Simone, Akira, Armando and Airy.

Airy - are you referring to our national drink, "uisge baugh"? Usually translated from the Gaelic as "water of life" but I like your name "little water".

Akira - they really are invasive - we have both the yellow and orange varieties but we mostly tolerate their presence.
