Very nice. Sardinia has been high on my bucket-list for quite a while but when the time comes I always end up heading north, not south.

Funnily enough I never visited for the first 43 years of my life.
It is now the second time in 9 months.
Very suitable for a small child - and I would say also for retirees, particularly at the start and end of the season.
We are now having a hot wave with temperatures nearing 35, but actually it is not bad because there is always a gentle sea breeze.
Our house is the closest to the above coordinates, extremely convenient!

Today's crop from the trusty old AW1 - it seems some water got inside the front glass of the zoom lens :(

Ouch, sorry for your trouble. That sounds like a leak though the zoom ring seals. These two o-rings are only half as thick as the one at the mount and non-user serviceable. Unfortunately the front of the lens is is very difficult to dry out, as that part of the lens is pretty isolated from the mount. On the bright side, that zoom lens is cheap to replace, even lower priced than its land-locked version.

For anything but quick dipping at the surface, I use the 10mm (with the Olympus fisheye converter), which does not have this weakness.
Nice jellyfish image by the way.

Well I learned the lesson the hard way.
The lens actually still works.
Only one drop got in, and "fell" onto the inside surface of the front glass, leaving a smear.
However I have yet to find conditions under which this affects the pictures.
I wonder if and how much water there is inside the zoom though. I have been only swimming at the surface, never diving so nearly no hydrostatic pressure.

Go to the Cagliari Botanical Garden. The City is worth a visit anyway. I love Sardegna. The food. The sweets. The Mirto.
You are out there. You and your camera. You can shoot or not shoot as you please. Discover the world, Your world. Show it to us. Or we might never see it.

Thank you Andrea and Jakov.

The AW1 has given up the ghost  :( so further postings will be with the X-T2 only.
The screen is gone, but the camera still works and takes pictures - only without the screen there is no way of knowing what you are doing!
Has anyone got experience of such a repair and is it economically worthwhile vs buying a new (used) body?

Simone, I was taking pictures like that when I started shooting IR :)
It is quite challenging, fun, and rewarding!

Last stragglers on Sa Mesa Longa beach.
Sa Mesa Longa refers to the long rock table (a reef) that protects the beach from open sea breakers, providing a quiet and safe space for children to play. The bay is divided in two by a rocky island at its middle. One side has the reef, the other is open. The water is shallow enough to wade to the island.

The problem is I cannot see the menus and set the camera up...
