Great compositions with wonderfully controlled light and dark.  A lot of "soul" in these images. Nice work which is always great to view.

Well thank you, Mongo - I'm not sure which gave me the most pleasure - being out taking these photographs, or reading your flattering assessment of them.   ;D

Beautiful captures of the last of the sunshine - the light is superb. I really like the "burst" of light you have caught on the loch in #3. And the couple of rain drops on the lens in #4 is a subtle reminder of the variability of the weather.

The rainbow in #4 nicely frames the cluster of trees on the shore of the river

It looks like the good weather (for Scotland) continues!

Thanks, Ron and Mike.

Mike - actually it rained nearly all the time I was out (with Sally) and I had droplets on the lens so many times, finally I gave up trying to wipe them off. Our weather continues cool and changeable, and not much like early summer.

Dave, the dynamic change of the weather you describe is marvelously depicted by the sky you captured in the first image.  I also love the placements of the compositional elements in the last image.

Thank you all very much, Akira, Armando, Chris and Thomas. I value your comments highly.

Beautiful Dave, you're pretty busy lately.

You see, Chris, as a retired photographer I have very little to do except take photographs all day.   8) ;D
