Indeed the trees were the inspiration for this image.  As for the dynamic range, that's where D750 shines, I think.

Seemingly simple but has a subtle complexity and beautifully executed. This  is getting back to some of  the true elements of photograpy. Very nice work Akia.

Mongo, thank you for such an encouraging comment.  The framing with such a wide lens is challenging, which may stimulate the photographer's consciousness.
