I absolutely love minimalist photos. And I love the ragged edge. And I love the colour. My imagination goes crazy trying to figure out what this is and what it is about. Is that a sky? A reddish-brown sky? Are those stage lights? Outdoor lights at a baseball game? Are those mountains along the bottom? Or piles of "stuff"?
Compositionally though, I would entirely lose the right side so that the eye hits those lights, travels down the pole and then along the bottom for a nice visual journey. Go square - it's edgier. A small amount of dodging in the lower left, too. Leave the pole slightly tilted (as shown) for "dramatic tension".
[I could go for a little
more dodging in the lower left.]
What do you think about this suggestion? The artist/photographer always has the last word!!
