White Water Competition

On 15 April I was photographed the British Canoeing Team Selection Races at the Lea Valley Olympic Course.

Here are some of my images.

Anthony, these are spectacular action photos, worthy of a photo competition!
These images can easily illustrate a white water magazine :)

The second one (_732) is clearly my favorite. It is a complete story including white water, paddle, youth, beauty, clear-eyed concentration and nice nails. I love good "action-portraits."

Impressive action shots and excellent processing, seems the day is sunny and I do not see any blown highlights, or lack of detail in the shadows

Thank you all for your kind comments.

I really enjoy action photography, trying to capture the action and also the human side.

The cameras were a rented D500 and my X-T2 (two images).  I also shot with the D3s, but none of the images quite made the cut for posting here.  This is not a criticism of the camera, as some shots were spoiled by arms across the face, etc.

The D500 was the best camera for the situation, but the others were not far behind.

Very impressive shots. I bet the auto focus was all over the place to nail the kayakers :)
