Guess who

The question does not relate to the subject, but to the lens.

I thought the answer would be "American Woman".  :D

Anyway, Voigt 58/1.4?

No, and no.
Second answer was however very, very close.

Akira, do you mean he broke the bank, or did he bork his savings?

You only added two more options.  Now I wonder whether Airy broke the bank, broke his savings, borked the bank, or borked his savings.   :o :o :o

There is now no need to talk about which lens. However, as to the image, it is exactly what Armando said it is

Thanks for the comment. Well, sorry to have raised the lens topic ( because I did it from the beginning). Fact is, I found one for a relatively low price, and in excellent condition. The question is now "is it worth the money", and I try to find the answer, lest I re-sell it. At least I took no financial risk, as I am sure to be able to recover the money.

The portrait was taken on board the train taking me back home a few hours after the transaction, and after a hard working afternoon. I could not wait to try and find an answer to the question.

Expect more pics as I hopefully discover the subtle features making the buy worthwhile. At the same time I try not to post bad pics, let alone brick walls. Photography is not exactly about breaking records.

Beautiful portrait, and the light and the lens surely helps.  Congrats with your Noct.  I am curious about your findings.

Thanks John. Sadly, Ms. Model does not like it because (I assume) it makes her look darker and older than she is. The lighting was indeed interesting, because I got intense light from one side, less intense from the other one, and nearly no diffuse light (we were sitting in the dark lower floor of a double decker high speed train, and the lining is indeed dark an non-reflective). Consequence is, the skin "grain" is much too present, so maybe I should have added film grain. Will give it a try.

Expect more Noct inputs in the coming days, I'll be a one-lenser over Easter.
