Thank you Keith, The people in Chania have made a good job of preserving the old town. Unfortunately, in some other cities,
old beautiful structures have been brought down in the name of progress.

Would you believe this was Crete is my ultimate favorite.
The back drop of the snowy calm mountains with the fussy Greek foreground is just amazing.

Thank you Jakov.
The weather was ok, but on the cold side, so I guess that's the reason for the snow still to be present.

I am enjoying this colourful trip report !

Most of pictures show clearly that it's not the high season : perfect time and a clever way to go touring...I guess you guys were very spoiled with probably lower prices !  ;)

I don't think august tourists will enjoy the snow caped mountains... ;D

Very nice flowers and countryside photos.

Thanks for sharing.

Francis.

My take on Chania, night and day.
To Steki was a nice restaurant, had lunch a couple of times there, they used Mizithra cheese on the Greek salad :D

Gunver & Bent, just popping back in to say "some interesting & charming shots" from Crete now that your series are appearing.
Love the dog sleeping! And of course, as a passionate amateur botanist, it is always cool to see the flowers.

Elsid, I like your latest flowers, especially the red one. Did they have names / sign as they were in a botanical garden.

Thank you Erik for your comment. Most of them did have names. It is an ommition on my part that I did not documented the names.
Maybe because a botanist was coming along (though this is not an excuse).
