Snow Swan
« on: March 21, 2017, 01:11:08 »
This trumpeter was doing low passes on a brilliant sunny morning.  The lighting would have been a real challenge, except the close proximity to natures best fill reflector, a snow covered lake!  I thought the light made him almost glow.

Advice and comments always appreciated.

Cheers

This is simply a rare and excellent capture.  The shadow of the bird on the snow...

Awesome!!!

Did the swans wingtip touch the snow or are those marks in the snow just coincidental?
Cheers,

Jan:  Yes, they often drag a wingtip in a turn, esp on open ice.  Sometimes if you are really lucky and the light is just right, you can see a little plume of snow kicked up.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.  This shot reminds me, that sometimes, simple is best!

Cheers
