Intense stare, good shooting angle, although somewhat busy, the gray sticks in the background match his colors well!

I find that generally bird shots are most engaging if the head is turned towards us a bit, but I feel this one is still effective.

Wonderful photo...I noticed the long feathers at the back of the neck...hmm, what are they for?  A quick search revealed the fascinating answer. 
Wonder what this does?

These are very good, you have captured the hunter's concentration and the technical issues are all excellent.
