I love the second one. Just read humans have cut nature into slices using roads.

An update to the shot "view from the road"
The mountain on the left is a volcano, "volcan de colima" the peak is 3800m above sea level, this volcano is fairly active, on the day we drove to the beach we saw a large column of smoke, but this week it got way more active.

Here is a shot from a photographer that lives near by and has spent years photographing the volcano
