Oh boy that Mark Wallace likes to hear his own voice ... and should wear a hat lest the sun and excitement don't go to the top of his head :D

This is exciting!  I really like the lions shot in the late afternoon lighting.  Kudos to Mark!

Good job, Elsa!  This was truly an amazing series.  Thanks for sharing!

Looks like he might have shat himself a couple of times with those close encounters  ;D
It seems he had a very good time with your camera and lens.
The 35mm close-up shots of the elephant were cool, so was the trunk exploring the car benches - did the elephant steal his jacket?

ye he was a tad white after an encounter with a lion.

The elephants are rescues - although they are not shy with people - they are wild and exceptionally large.
I didnt expect the elephant to be right in my face - I was shooting the video and just couldn't zoom out enough when it came right up to me.

He wasnt interested in the jacket -  he was looking for food. Feeding wild animals is against the law - even if they are in a reserve.

I am pleased with the great shot he got.

As you can imagine  - many people will say this is a glorified zoo.
FAR from it. The camps are much much smaller than at our National Parks - and this is private land, but the animals are free roaming. This is not an experience for someone wanting to go "into the bush" for 3 weeks shooting leopards and lion hunting.
This is an experience for those visiting Cape Town wanting to see the wild animals for a day or two - and be guaranteed good shots.

There is only so much time and all the words possible must be packed in. That or the MTV educated viewers will change channels if the video doesn't move fast enough.

Dave you are right. Mark has his own Youtube teaching channel (which isnt really running anymore since he started doing things for Adorama) and his episodes used to be around 40 min. With Adorama he has to cut it VERY short - and he says it's truly difficult to get any message across in this time. He cut a huge amount of video from the last one - and still it was 16 min which was a bit too long for Adomara..
