I recently picked up a Meopta Meostigmat 35mm f1.3. It covers APS-C nicely. None of that aggressively bubbly triplet bokeh. I believe the Meostigmats are double gauss, and this one is quite nice to my eye. This is not aggressively processed.

Yes indeed they are! I have that same lens too, quite a nice performer, not as crazy as the f1.0/50mm but a nice one. Personally the 1.4/70mm is my favorite lens. There also is a (now) quite rare f1.0/70mm one (which I too have, new in box) but needs surgery to get it close enough to the sensor.

Hi Klaus,

I am, as you know, a fan of slightly less tame bokeh than the Meostigmats exhibit. I also have the 70mm f1.4 but rarely use it. One that I like is the Dallmeyer 51mm f1.5 Mk III, which satisfies my edgy taste.

A previously unknown to me, slow projection lens f5 71mm

Part I: The blue series...

Has some pleasant bokeh, shows very impressive sharpness and is one of the very few lenses
I have which reproduces rich colors, right as I have seen and memorized them!
