I did something this morning which I've never done before -
Walking the dog, dull, wet, raining, no camera, saw this, turned round, ran/drove home, grabbed D800, 400/5.6 AIS, tripod, raced back to location, the bird was still there!
And let me make about 30 exposures before departing.
The colour was really grim so I decided a mono treatment was best, with a slight tone.
