With almost 19 degrees on February 23, every early food source in the garden was frantically buzzing. First peacock butterfly with the 500/5.6PF on the D500. Cropped more and more to almost 100% for the third picture.

Butterfly season around here so I tried to sneak in on a few today - too windy (and poor technique..) so only one keeper.

Around here (in Denmark) we've had unusually many of the Thistle butterfly this summer.

Here is a Map butterfly (as far as I can tell) to the collection. From second brood: Araschnia levana f. prorsa.

It has been very dry here the last few years.
