Thanks, Keith!  Indeed I was trying to balance out those aspects.

Trying and succeeding. The clouds get to be more than clouds here. There is an apparent purpose in what they are doing. Do they do this kind of thing often for you?

  Thanks for the magic!

Paco, thanks!  I'm not sure how often, because I would have to spot it to capture.  It's like the inspiration!

I don't know why but during my last visit in Germany, I was obsessed with shooting clouds. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me, so had to make do with my phone.

Susanne, When seen big on a monitor, the aggressive processing of the phone cam imparts a pleasing, almost brush stroke look to the clouds. I wish the phone cams had a control to dial down the sharpening a bit.

Keith, thank you for your feedback. I'm afraid that I am to blame for the aggressive processing and not the phone cam. I wanted the picture to be edgy, contrasty and dramatic. I might have gone a bit overboard with that. ;D

Here's one where I went overboard..."experimental" is what I call it.

;D I see what you mean, I still like it though. I like the perspective and the upper part of the clouds that contrasts with the darker blue.
