There's gotta be some fire and flames somewhere ...

Bill, I really like the image . Dof and the glowing wick.  I tried shooting food by candlelight in a dark restaurant the other night.  Some of the food shots were OK but the actual candle had no personality  :(

Gary, I think we can assume there is fire somewhere  ;D .  Very nice image.

Mike, interesting colours.  Looks like some of mine when I try 'remove color cast' in NIK.

I've posted this in it's own thread previously, but I am too proud of it to not share it again!  ::)  The fire was not photo shopped in, was a very difficult image to nail.

Nice shot Tommy with the birds making the best out of a bad situation by praying on the fleeing critters.

Fiery tuba today, Borough Market.

In the spirit of disclosure, the flames were overexposed and had to be recovered in pp.  But they were actually there at the time.

Anthony, recovering hilights is pretty routine.  J've never heard of such a purist that they don't touch their raws 😉  Nice composition with his environment.

Thanks, Tristin, with more time I would have perhaps tried a variety of exposures.  I have no idea how he achieved the flames.
