Love this image!  For whatever reason, it immediately reminded me of the pictures of Karl Bloßfeldt.

I like the textures and colors but feel like the PP isn't doing it justice.  I'd like to see it have sparkling whites, it feels flatter than it should.

Very nice. Everything changes when water changes its aggregate
condition. In a world of ice most of us would not be able to survive
as long as we are dependent on photosynthesis as the basic

So how would I get the whites more sparkling? I did increase local contrast already, more would start to be overcooked.

Auto WB, did not play with any adjustments. But maybe I should.

What size field of view or reproduction ratio are we looking at?

100mm focal length at about 1m distance, slight crop.

I tend to agree that the tonal range isn't doing the photo justice.
It is a high contrast scene that looks as though the highlights have been reduced and the shadows have been raised resulting in a less than natural appearance.

Adjusting one area of the tonal range often requires readjustment of another area to bring back a more natural appearance.

I love the palette of colors, the intensity and overall impression I get from the image. I have come back several times and strikes me as the first one. Impressive nature abstract. It reminds me of early use of color and shapes by Kandinsky. Wouldn't change a thing
