Love stairs.

These are in the garden of Voltaire's chateau in Ferney-Voltaire.

This is the oldest image I´ve ever share here. After this trip, I decided to buy a serious camera. It was a nikon d200 at that time. This particular stairs with guy at the top was taken in Varanasi, India, in 2007 with a point and shoot Sony W5. I think I was very lucky!

Paco, I think you were lucky BECAUSE you had a P&S camera.  Such a large depth of field would have been impossible with a SERIOUS camera.

Jakov, yet another fine example of "scratch painting".  :)

You made a very good point.

Jakov, that treatment is very interesting...the image of stairs in circle inside circles works very well

Great idea Werner, here is wooden stair inside a metal and diesel engine workshop we visited during the NG event in Lofoten.

It's actually a very special image for me, until then the 50/1.2 was pretty much my main lens but that day I borrowed Bjørn's 35/1.4G and a seed was planted which slowly grew in the desire to buy one myself. It quickly became my number one lens and a fast 35mm has been my main lens ever since.

D3s & 35/1.4G, Norway 2011
Cheers,
Jan Anne

These are all pretty old stairs. Beautiful ones.

The newer ones are...  different?

Nice, modern repetitive patterns and brass shine (perhaps from the illumination?).
