From a sweet-water fish cooking class
« on: November 23, 2015, 09:55:55 »
A few weeks back we attended a sweet-water fish cooking class in a supermarket.

Great fun and we learned that beekeeper gear can be very useful for preparing fish:

Those combs or forks are used to scrape the honeycombs, but can be used to hold the fish while skinning it without applying much pressure to the meat.

Really fresh fish:

Buttering a pike:

Fine imagery, i think.
With all respect i never seem to like pictures of cooking and preparing food, i find them an unappetizing, different from videos on the subject.
Sorry :)

I for one love food photography. Never thought about it till I did it on a course years ago - and loved it!

You basically use it to hold the skin at then end when you cut off the meat from the skin.
Makes life a lot easier. Usually your fingers are very slippery, once you reached that stage.
With that fork it becomes trivial.
Now I just need the time before Xmas to go to a beekeper shop and buy two, one for my dad (where I get my fresh trout from) as an Xmas present.
