@pkol: excellent

Some other pictures of the Geneva Lake and it's changing light and weather conditions:
MFloyd - D4S1263 is a beautiful postcard. Love the blue colors - can imagine how beautiful the place was.

Originally this was meant to be a test shot of my newly purchased AF-S 24/1.8.  But it turned to be appropriate for this thread (hopefully).
Akira - nice shot. Can see how sharp that lens is corner to corner. Looking forward for more!

Thanks, Anirban.  The lens showed some AF problem and now given to Nikon service.  :(  Should be back within a week.

Sorry to hear. But after service it should be even better than a brand new one!

A few pictures from the Bol d'Or, the largest inshore sailing competition (Geneva Lake CH / F). Pictures were taken from the shore, because I was on duty for my local salvage society.  The weather was going to gale  (35 kts), so the dark clouds are not the result of Lr / Ps tuning:

On the Scottish trip there have been both boats and trains, surprised nobody has posted anything here.

TO THE ADMINISTRATORS: would it not be a good idea to split the topic ? Have one for "boats", one for "trains" as they have not much in common ? There is also another topic "trains, planes and automobiles" which only adds confusion .... Thanks

Elsa opened this thread because of the song "Trains and Boats and Planes".  She is so romantic <3

MFloyd, feel free to open your own thread with trains and/or boats. I don't see any issues with threads overlapping.

The steam train on the bridge is like the illustration of a story book , absolutely fantastic
