North East India and Cuba
« on: June 16, 2015, 16:26:15 »
I read about the Bnei Manashe, tribes in the Northeast of India that claimed to be one of the lost tribes of Israel, and I have been fascinated by the thought of going there.
It is supposedly difficult travel but interesting beyond measure.

I have an Indian acquaintance from Bangalore who says he will go with me so I dream about it.

More proximate is a trip to Cuba, pending spouse's health allowing me to be away.

AFAIK, the tribe is not "claimed".  It has been properly verified and recognized by the authorities that does this in Israel.
Again, AFAIK, many of the border (with China) region is not easily accessible for anyone other than the local or the Indian army.
The ones that border Bangladesh is less contentious.
