Event shooting or getting shot  ;) .  I do not post many images from the Events I shoot, which are many.  This is a young House Photographer Intern.  I think I prefer the colour version but like playing with B&W.   Sony a7iii with Batis 85 f1.8 at 1.8 totally backlit

Armando, this was that in between time.  They had turned out the House Lights and were trying to line up about 40 young people on stage , so the stage lighting was also off.  The only light on was a spot on the background.  No attempt to recover shadows but Madam wanted a small bit of Soft Focus and Glamour Glow.  Otherwise no sharing  ;) . She was prepped for the open song and dance routine when the stage lights came on.  The young photographer has thanked me profusely and put it on his Facebook  :)

Went to the Waterfront in downtown Portland back in March. Lots of people enjoying the Cherry  Blossoms.

Wow quite a range in holding technique !
From a guy with a "widish" angle on a tripod at low height to a tall woman in high heels in an uncomfortable standing position hand holding a telephoto ...

A shot from 2014, using the 500/8N mirror lens, so it could also be under the related thread.
Handheld, gosh. Unsuspecting lady of course (a fellow photographer from the photoclub I joined for a few years), in a public garden in Lille.

(added some hair to the girl for privacy, she was looking at her parents in disapproval)

It is true that we don´t have many mountains but some are worth mentioning :)

Sierra Nevada is just at my doorstep, less than 40 min by car.
I think Birna is right as there were not very nice bushes. Nice color thou. I´ll try to smell some of the Helichrysum you are talking about.

Helichrysum is a very powerful and pleasantly-smelling herb, I use it dried and finely ground as a substitute for curry (mixed with other herbs).

The bushes, unlike gorse, have no thorns and have more silvery-looking leaves and flowers.

Photographer and window poster of Henri Cartier-Bresson (HCB portrait C.1940) in the window of the L.A. Leica store.  I flopped it to present the image of HCB correctly. The exhibit was good, all 16x20 (inch) prints of nice quality.
