I do see what you have done, but I think the photograph simply needs a very much larger display area to provide the impact which is lost on a small forum page. This, of course, is
not at all your "fault".
It is one of the constraints that we all suffer with when attempting to share imagery on line.
Sometimes I worry that the re-sized display of my images online might affect how and what I shoot or how I edit what I shoot. And you??
Perhaps the solution for me is not to be so lazy and to print more.
