58 1.4
« on: June 14, 2015, 21:06:03 »
I purchased the 58 1.4G at the end of February 2014, reviews and opinions were varied at the time but once I had experienced some time with the lens I decided to spend 12 months using the lens only on my D800e and then the D810, a few examples below, if this an  OK way of posting I will add a few more.

Using a single lens on a single camera for an extended period of time is one of the essential methods in making you a better photographer. I've done the exercise three times myself for 12 month periods. Glad to see others following suit.

Yes the resize of the images is not yet working, but no worries they look great.

When you PP, Post Process these delicate images from lenses like this one, remember to take care that you don't ruin the back and fore ground Bokeh, it happens really easy... The raindrops suffer a bit from it here I feel...

First time was Nikon F + 35/2 (or f/2.8, that's way back in the stone ago, so hard to remember now, I had both lenses).

Second time was with Nikon F2 and 24/2.8.

Third time F5 and 50/2 AI.

Fourth time was Nikon D2X and 35/1.4.

A few more, some of these were from my initial testing of the lens.
