Title: photographers at work, maybe not new
Post by: Thomas Stellwag on February 04, 2019, 13:17:18
this came just in by FB and I thought it is worthwhile to share for those, who have not seen it. It is from 14, so there should some of you already know it, but I didn´t see it in here.

Great compilation - well worth a look through.  Nice to see all the old press cameras.

I much enjoyed those photographs — particularly as I have either shot with many of the cameras shown or have been with someone else who was using one of them.

As a student in the mid 1950s at Guildford Art School, I actually shot glass plates in wooden studio cameras with brass lenses. We developed the plates individually in dishes.

The speed graphic sure had a long reign! I've got a couple in the closet.
