Jack (Dahlgren) is visitng Tokyo now, and we agreed on the meet up in Ginza.
The meeting was just over an hour, but we talked about the family and how we got interested in the photography.
As it seems to have become customary, we shot each other's portrait at the end of the meet up.
We agreed that seeing each other in person will remain invaluable, no matter how much the communication tools will be sophisticated.
Actually, this nice cafe in which we chatted over some pancake-coffee sets was the same place where I met Airy.
Now, here's my take.

Thanks for choosing this tearoom again. Fond memories.

I fully agree. Nice to see, that you both had a good time....so this now is Rørtary club Tokyo?

It was very nice to meet Akira and spend an hour or so discussing music, photography and inspiration. I am not always the best person at conversations as I often find my words lagging what I intend to say, so I can only hope he found me at least half as interesting as I found his stories. It is always good to meet in person and I’ll be looking for the music in his photos from now on.

My pleasure (literally), Airy. The same with me.

What a great naming, Thomas!

Thank you, Jack, for the better described report of the meet up! I did find the relationship between your career, life and photography was interesting.
I hope there are always some rhythm and harmony in my images.

Thank you, John. I have many chances to meet musicians from abroad to interview them or translate for, but the meet ups with NG folks are special. The variety of the nationalities, occupations and lives of NG members offers me totally different perspectives.

Thank you, Armando. Maybe that is one of a few advantages of living in Tokyo. :P

Meeting some one in real life very different from virtual chats, m.o.c.. :)

I really like this kind of face to face meetings trying to cover almost all your life in a couple of hours sharing common interests , you may see it in the photos :)

I agree, Fons. What is "m.o.c." by the way?

Thank you, Nasos. I also like a group of fewer people.

Thank you, Jakov, for the suggestion and encouragement!
If I had known that I would have three consecutive opportunities to meet wonderful NG members in such short intervals, I would definitely have started the thread as [Theme].
