well...i know the RF crowd isn't big but it's still a Nikkor :o :o :o

Yes the rangefinder community is rather small, especially the Nikkor one, I think they will have a very vintage look on the Z7 and Z6 ;)
But interesting to see the lens inside, thanks!

Who will be the first to offer an adapter for those nice old RF Nikkors on the Z models? I'd purchase such a contraption immediately.
-
To start off with you could use a Nikon S- Rangefinder to Leica M/LTM adapter and a stack it on the Leica M to Nikon Z adapter ;)
-
it depends. a bar buddy of mine tried with a Contax/S to M and the new shoten M to Z combo. it didn't work :'(
he said that it didn't reach infinity :'(
Amedeo is the best person for this and Cosina is the best company that makes these. I hope they make one.
Amedeo is trying to rebuild his life after he fled his country due to civil unrest. :o :o :o

That is a matter of removing a mount and slicing of a few 1/10 mm of the length and re assemble ;)

A genuine nerd project, Erik. I have the Amadeo adapter for old RF Nikkors to Sony E-mount. Can order factory spare parts (Z bayonet mount) from Nikon. The middleman should be you ...
Sony E has register distance 18mm and the new Nikon Z is 16mm. Hmm.

should be possible :o :o :o
