My name is Jim Gould. I am new to this forum so thought I should introduce myself. I have a lot of Nikon gear and am always interested in discussions about it. Wildlife photography, especially birds is my biggest interest but I have been trying to learn landscape photography for a few years.

My gear list is much shorter these days and I am not shooting as many birds the past few years ( not as much about) and my abilities seem to be dropping with age :( . Trying to improve in less demanding areas but only so-so success ;) . This site can answer just about any question re: gear and technique.

I should mention that I just acquired a used D810. I had avoided the D8xx series as I was hesitant because of the large file sizes. My latest computer has 32 gb ram and 6 terabytes of hard drive so it seems like it will be ok so far.
