I wonder if this retoucher is the very person who "restored" the icon of Jesus Christ in Spain...

When I saw the photos online my first thought was that the person doing the "retouching" may have very, very poor eyesight, and either refuses to admit it, or doesn't realize that it matters in that line of work.

An acquaintance, a friend of a friend who is legally blind does better than this. He dose need to have my friend tell him, "A little more to the left."

I broke out laughing when I saw the first photo. I supposed out of all the professional photographers on this rock, this could happen... maybe.

We all go thru "phases" when it comes to editing. Why on earth would PS contain such a battery of tools if they weren't meant to be used? ;)

Isn't it a beta testing of the new "context ignoring brush" feature in ACR?

I could be wrong (I often am!) but I think this the effect that is built into the Nikon D3300, mine at least...

I use it as a 'knock about' camera in my workshop and when I go racing.  By accident one day the top dial got turned to 'Effects', the images below are the result.  I like the effect and also applied it to the car on the transporter, which was a bit boring.  It can be done in Ps, there are some filters which achieve this effect, that's how I processed the car on the transporter.  The other two are just about straight out of the camera, cropped and slight adjustment.

It is something of a cartoon drawing effect which I rather like, I was going to use it to create a team calendar but unfortunately I didn't get to enough races to gather sufficient material for a decent calendar.
