New Zealand is a place I'll love to visit
-
Love these images. Very idyllic.
-
Thank you gentlemen.

Nice work Ron.
I am quite biassed of course - I went to Otago University in Dunedin and I am from a farming family south of there.
Your shots are from the Otago Peninsula, where my father was stationed during WWII - on naval guns.
-
Lovely images. If you are ever in the Auckland area, feel free to get in touch :)
-
Thank you Hugh and Roland.

I love the song "Amelia"...

looks as unreal and pleasent as Scotland. - Great captures!

Not dissimilar countryside Frank.
The Otago and Southland provinces were mainly settled by Scots and many of the place names are either copies of similar place names in Scotland or are derivatives of Scottish names, e.g. Dunedin translates as The Edinburgh of the South, and the core of its street layout and major street names are borrowed from its northern counterpart.
My brother jokes that what with its geography and the inclement weather patterns in southern NZ, that Otago and Southland are only suitable for Scotsmen and sheep. LOL.

Thank you. In New Zealand the weather is probably milder than Scotland, and whiskey is very expensive.

Thank you. This particular lyric strikes a chord with me. It's no false alarm as I have been there for a while.
