New Market is actually one of the oldest of the city. I was there for one day and had a few hours to walk in this lively city. The underground market itself is incredibly complicate to exit. It consists of a succession of small paths and corridors in which I rapidly abandoned any hope to get oriented. Once you are there, it is for good. Funnily, I purchased a beautiful used compass as a present to my son. It didn't help!
Fuji X-T1 with 18-55mm zoom.

Very nice series especially number one which perfectly depicts the text you wrote to describe the complications of the market itself. Plus the vibrant colors!

Fantastic series, really like #1

Wow, the market is wonderfully chaotic!

Thanks!
The scene in n.1 triggered the urge to take a photo.

Yes, agree !

Great shots... :-) The facade did change since I was there ! There used to be an "animal" market a few streets further, you could smell the stench from the "New market" !
That's were I used to buy my toys (sigh)...

Thanks everyone!
No overwhelming animal smell these days, Jacques. And there is no doubt we would have picked it, my colleague and I all work for a fragrance house...
I hope to get another opportunity to go to India rapidly again. Next time is likely to be in Bangalore to meet another customer.
