Smusesuse invited me to a museum called Voorlinden, situated just outside The Hague in Wassenaar.
1. Smusesuse getting ready for the road;
2. Smusesuse in ringing action;
3. Smusesuse in hiding;
4. Smusesuse in the open;
5. Smusesuse not suffocating;
6. Smusesuse awaiting.
Thank you, Smusesuse!
-
Owww. Right hand and right eye dominant.
-
Great abstraction! I'm floored, Jakov!
-
Thank, you Ethan.
Akira, I was under-watered :) thanks!
-
Admirable footage, Jakov. Yo obviously used your breath wisely "under water".
Perhaps a place to visit end of September?
-
By all means Bjørn, let's visit! It reminds me a lot of the Louisiana Contemporary Art Museum we visited With Erik once upon a time go near Copenhagen.
I am glad to hear that you are coming to visit me and the photo race!
Here are a few more examples of the Voorlinden opportunities.
1. Smusesuse what's the time?
2. Smusesuse fluffy;
3. Smusesuse and the old couple;
4. Smusesuse underwater.
-
Lovely Suze and lovely images, very colorful also ;)
-
Erik, thanks! You're coming too, right?
1. Smusesuse, last one!
-
The Voorlinden museum seems to be an interesting one...
Is the second work in the second series (titled "Smusesuse fluffy") by Yayoi Kusama?
-
My Akira, you know your art! It is indeed!
-
Nice series. The circular underwater fisheye shots have not been seen here before and need some explanation - no such lens exists for the AW1?
-
Yes, I will try to make it ;)
-

Jakov, thanks for the identification. Polka dot is her trademark, so it is not too difficult to guess. ;)

I guess Jakov was using Olympus FCON-T01 fisheye teleconverter (originally designed for TG series cameras but known to be able to be used with AW 10/2.8 lens).

I have FCON-T01 and it is not a circular fisheye, not even a full frame one, angle of view is much more moderate (see my AW1 review).

Oh, yes, I remembered! Sorry for the confusion.
I guess Jakov's fisheye images were not the underwater shots but from-beneath-the-pool shots. :D
-
Akira is right. It is a fake pool with water running on top of plexiglass.
The equipment used was D750 and 8mm f/3.5 Sigma.
(the old couple is not real either)
How I wish I could make underwater images like that...
AW2 and a fish eye... I keep repeating.
-
it is an inspriring series of pictures, great work
-
:) fun series
my favorite is #1
-
Cool set of images Jakov, a very enjoyable pictorial journey .....and a very cool place, you have made me want to go.
Cheers
-
An absolutely superb series Jakov!
Creative and engaging on every level.
-
Very creative and well executed. Very well seen.
My favorite is No. 2.

Dear Thomas, thank you so much.
Dear Armando, thank you I always try to make them funny as possible.
Dear BEZ, thank you! Are you going to join us on 30 September for the NG photo race. We are planning on visiting the museum.
Dear Bill, thank you so much for your kind words!
Dear FredCrowBear, thank you too for your lovely words.
It is always inspirational and motivating when such great photographers write such comments!
Thank you all once again for taking your time to look through the images and leaving your comments behind!
Wait till you see what Smusesuse has to show us :)
-
And "Couple Under an Umbrella" is Ron Mueck. IIRC the museum also has a James Turrell work, or thing. Do you have any pictures of it?
-
Less creative, but I'll post some anyway. :) Here goes my take on Voorlinden:
-
this is great as well, less graphical spectacular than Jakov´s pictures, but "soul" in
so it is nice to see the same place with 2 different eyes

The third image I posted is James Turrell. It is a labyrinth of the huge steel plates in the shape of a ship.
Smusesuse your images are equally creative and your clocks turned out better than mine!

Ha, the "Smusesuse in ringing action" image by Jakov seems to be the behind-the-scene one of your second picture. :)
-
Great series, Jakov ! I like especially 'Smusesuse not suffocating'.
That museum is definitely very interesting, hadn't heard about it.
-
(the old couple is not real either)
Ahh... OK.. so Smusesuse is actually not that small in reality ;D
Great and fun series - Jakov+Smusesuse.
-
great series, both!
interesting images.

Love the series, Suse.
- I initially thought only Jakov posted, but I missed some part of the topic during scrolling... (small screen)
-
Thank you Thomas, Lars and Brent! We had a lovely day at Voorlinden, I'm glad you like the photographic outcome. :)

Exactly! 8)

;D I used to be rather tall, actually. Now that I live in the Netherlands, I'm average. :o
-
Thank you too, John! I'm glad you like the photos.
And you, Jakov, of course! For your sweet comment and the lovely company. :)
-
Phantastic Footage of an interesting location
-
Thank you , Frank! Good to have you back!
