This is one of the things I notice more often. The play of the cities lines I found fascinating as they are not intended to happen, they just do.
-
Wonderful!
-
Thank you Frank. May we look for city lines in September at the photo race!
-
Luckily there were the colors too, making the lines stand out.
-
Almost a Mondriaan :D
-
I went for a little -very little- running and notice this in the way back. It is 100 meters from my front door. I had time for stretching, shower, change, think about the lens-camera combo, grab the camera, go out... Luckily the image was still there. Is one of those rare times were the image in my mind and the result came out almost the same. Little to no pp. Weird and satisfying.
Mondrian forever! :)
Thank you for the comments
-
it is very nice when everything lines up all the way to the concept of your image :)
-
It is, the gods of photography are not always this generous.
-
That looks a bit Escher-esque. Very nicely done, Paco!
-
Very nice cityscape! I'm sure a B&W version with a bit of clarity and or contrast would really do well also! ;)
-
Thank you both.
I guess the contraction of planes makes it difficult to assert the perspective. That's the whole point :) If it looks Esher-esque I'm a happy man.
Erik, I tried b&w but I feel it looses something...specially the blue top that I love. Will look into it again

Sevilla, painting with security; regeneration of city lines.
D500 with 105 1.4. This is one luxury combo :o
The guy was working a good 30 feet up. A second painter, in a swing midway to the floor was taking care of the facade -that one fully equipped and safe-

IR city lines, man-made and nature-made
-
keep that pace!
-
Thanks Frank, I´ll try ;)
-
Building blocks.
-
More like country side lines, but still.
-
Well seen and composed. Also qualifies for “minimalist”, given the relative importance of blue sky.
-
Thank you Airy. I agree and I am still wondering if my main subject was the house or the blue sky with the color ball and lines. It calls for a more extreme post in my mind, will see.

Ditto, and I like it!
-
Paco, Paco, Paco, always a joy to view your images!
-
Thank you both, happy you like it!

Comic-like city lines. La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz, Spain.

This is the exact same building of the firts post in the thread. I guess I´m still attracted to it :)

The somewhat distracting yellow and white colors behind this characteristic concrete construction are well neutralized in IR. The rendition of this latest one looks more appropriate for the motif.

Thank you Akira

Paco, I am trying to figure out how the roofs in the lower part of the image were constructed? I would very much enjoy talking to the architect :)
It looks like the cartoon, La Linea.
-
La Linea is different... 🙄
-
All kind of lines.
D500, 35mm 1.8 dx

I wold paint a sun clock underneath both poles.
I would put local time underneath one, and Madrid time or any other annoying city under the other, just to piss off whoever...
-
If you come, I'll get the paint ;D
-
Strong sunlight can make a harsh and graphic games in the city.

The randomly placed air-conditioning units make the image special!
-
Thank you Jakov, I think so too. That and the massive black space I think balances the graphics of the image.
-
"Barrio de las Letras", Madrid.
Very hot days to visit the capital but very enjoyable with special company.
-
Central food market "mercado central", Cádiz. (with antennas for Jakov)

The view from my rooftop. Old Cádiz.

I´m afraid I´m pushing the thread towards "antennas" :)
Well placed antennas, La Línea.

Looking towards the water city lines become minimalist.

Dotted lines.

Dotted lines.
Pointillism...at night with extra lines. Thank you Akira
-
I see that most of my images here have a long focal length as a common denominator. Here is an exception. I think it still keeps true to the original idea of the thread.
Wide-angle-lens city lines galore.

More lines in the city
