Hallo All,
My name is Martin and I am from George in South Africa. Photography is my hobby and I have been photographing for more years than I care to remember, in film days with Leica SLRs since 1972, and since Leica withdrew from the 35mm SLR market with Nikon DSLRs. I started with a D300, moved through various models to D800 and D500. Lenses mostly zooms 10-24, 14-24, 24-70-70-200 and 200-400, but also macro 60 and 105. My subject matter is mostly landscapes, macro, architecture and nature (birds and wildlife). I have been visiting this site for quite a while and have now decided to join. I look forward to a pleasant stay here. Regards from the Garden Route in South Africa, Martin

You are most welcome to us on NG. Looking forward to your contributions.
Your country is very photogenic, for sure. I've been fortunate enough to be able to visit SA several times.

Welcome to NG. I´m also a user of mostly zooms. I´m slowly learning there is quality and personality to be found in other lenses for sure but I am still working with the ease and practicality of the zooms.
Looking forward to your images!

Welcome to our site. I am a user of primes since I started in 1983. I tried zooms but they are simply not my style. I am constantly moving, only the job requires still sitting when I write and when I edit and for table top photos.
Our former congregation had its origin in a South African Photo Safari and some of us still have a connection to the old site.
Love to see your personal perspective on life....
