A friend of mine runs tours in Morocco. She can arrange the travel & accom round some of the older cities and places off the beaten tracks, plus trips and overnight stays out in the desert
With all the other trips that NG members talk about, I thought I'd share her details in case this appeals to any of you:
Authentic Morocco (https://www.authentic-morocco.com/)
I've been to Morocco once and was captivated by the light, colours, culture and people. Liz Williams the owner has been going there for years, knows the more unusual places well and has a good network of contacts. She can do both "standard" tours, plus bespoke ones based on your interests and gets pretty good feedback on places like TripAdvisor too.
This post isn't meant as marketing, more to help other photographers as I think they would love the place

Given certain affinities of mine, I would be very interested in Morocco. :)

I've been a few years ago in April to Morocco.
A great trip with lots of photo opportunities.
It has a great variety of subjects and in April it's not so hot either. :)

Camels and or donkeys never hurt!

If I would have a chance to go to Morocco, I'd love to listen to the Gnawa music in Marrakesh.

I went back in 1984
In those days I was young & naive. It was just a short flight from home, but took me into a culture and country that was unlike anything I'd ever seen.
- By chance we arrived during the festival of Ramadan so many of the towns burst into life at sunset as they ended their daily fast.
- I remember a trip into the Atlas mountains where a tyre on the minibus burst.
We were waiting by a cliff wall on the roadside when I turned and noticed it was covered in thousands of fossils. - I decided to only shoot B&W film on the trip and took several rolls of Kodak Technical Pan (ISO 25).
The red sensitivity of this film, plus the deep blue skies led to some rather special results
So obviously people can arrange a trip amongst other NG members, as we have with other destinations.
If you'd like something more customised, or like some help with internal travel, accommodation or access to more unusual parts of the country, I recommend talking to Liz at Authentic Morocco (https://www.authentic-morocco.com/)
I only scanned a few of my images from that trip and didn't have access to a very good scanner, but here's an example

Organise it Elsa, please :)
Good idea.
After all, it's only just up the road for you Elsa!!
(well it would be one of the few NG expeditions where you don't have to travel to another continent...... :P )

not quite up the road - up the continent :)

not quite up the road - up the continent :)
Just 12340Km and 172 hour by car, now thats a trip I would like to make one day :)

172 hour might be a tad optimistic..... The Hanomag AL 28 4x4 only goes MAX 70km ph.... well thats if I buy one like that :) :)

Google Maps might have been a tad optimistic and not taking in account the many borders you need to hackle yourself across, flooded roads, breakdowns, etc.
But crossing entire continents is on the bucket list, Africa might not be the safest choice though.
Back on topic, even though Morocco seems like a very interesting location I would like to visit one day I'm taking a break from 7 years of NG photo trips. I'm in desperate need for something completely different, no clue whats up the road yet but sometimes one needs to stop doing things to make room for something new to enter your life without knowing what that will be :o :o :o

We are on the same page. If I find what I am looking for - it will be a miracle though
