"Bimmer" presumedly a euphemism for a BMW, if so I've never heard of that before?

I got this lesson verbatim from Jan Anne when I called his car a 'beemer' .... :D It's a 'bimmer' for Pete's sake.

Mike, its the same with Nikkor lenses.

The majority will tell you they have a Nikon lens but on forums like NG we talk about Nikkor lenses :)

I just learned and forgot that "Nikkor" is a contraction formed from Nippon and Kōgaku to Nikkō then westernized to Nikkor. I checked Wikipedia to relearn this.
