Post by: Andrea B. on June 25, 2015, 16:44:10
There are 3 image attachments posted in this thread of dimensions 1200 x 1200 px, 1000 x 1000 px and 800 x 800 px. You can use them determine how your monitor+browser combination displays the images.

NOTE:  Your results may vary due to your particular monitor display setting and browser choice.

Image: 1200 x 1200 px.
My Laptop:  MacBook Pro Retina
My Laptop Display Setting: 1900 x 1200 px.
My Browser: Firefox - fully expanded, sidebars closed.

SMF Software 'Page View' Setting - Image resized to fit topic: Downscaled 1000 x 1000 px image must be scrolled to see top/bottom.
Right Click and *View Image - Image resized to fit screen: Entire downscaled image can be seen with no scrolling.
Click Again on Image: Image enlarges back to 1200 x 1200 and requires scrolling to see top/bottom.

*In Safari, Right Click and select Open Image in New Tab.

1200, 1000 and 1400 are displayed at the same size with Safari, 800 is a bit smaller... (iMac 21,5", OS 10.11.6 Safari 9.1.2 )

The maximum Simple Forums software page display size is a 1000 x 1000 px box.

If you right click the image, select View Image and then click the image, you should be able to see a larger size IF your browser is fully expanded with no sidebars.

I'm not sure what the upper limit on View Image size is. Or how it is determined.

On Firefox, I can see the full 1400 x 1400 px when clicked up in the fully expanded browser.

I don't have that "right click" option on Safari (no view image)...  :(

Using Safari, right click and select Open Image in New Tab or Open Image in New Window.
That is the equivalent of View Image in Firefox.

Aha... OK Thanks... ;) Still my 2013 iMac has the browser window full open and it limits the size of those views. When I'll retire I'll get the latest 4K screens (or whatever)  ;D

Firefox, Nec Multisync 221

1200x1200 scaled down to 1000x1000
means 1200 and 1000 have the same size, 800 is smaller
